As a traveler, there is one thing that I am asked often, what food do I miss most from home? That answer is tacos! Yes you can get tacos just about anywhere in the world but there is nothing like the taste of a taco from Mexico or California.  It is an indescribable, eccentric, authentic taste that can only be achieved in Mexico or California.  Now this is strictly my opinion and you are free to have your own opinions. I am not saying that every other place is bad but to me, tacos from Mexico and California are the best. Whether it is al pastor, carne asada, chicken, shrimp,  or even vegetarian, I do not discriminate on which type taco that I will eat. As long as there is a well balanced delivery of all the ingredients in a ballet of flavor.

My favorite place is Elvia’s Taco Truck in Turlock, California. Sometimes there is a 6 month or even a year gap from the last time that I have been there and they still know my name and  what I want to order when I show up. There is nothing like good service with your favorite food. I do enjoy asking my friends where the new taco places are located and go check them out  to experience new flavors and combinations. As people are always coming up with new and interesting combinations, I am always in search of a good taco.
